To enhance road safety measures, the Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality, under the leadership of Executive Mayor Daniel Nkosi, handed over a road marking vehicle to the Department of Community and Safety Services.
The handover, which took place today at Nhlazatshe, marks a significant step towards improving the visibility of road markings and road signs, particularly at night.

The road marking car is expected to play a crucial role in aligning with road and transport procedures, ultimately helping to reduce accidents. By employing this new vehicle, the municipality aims to make road markings and signs more visible, thus enhancing safety for motorists and pedestrians alike, especially as the Easter weekend approaches.

Expressing his satisfaction with the procurement of the car, the Executive Mayor commended the municipality for investing in this essential asset. Previously, employees were tasked with marking roads manually, a process that is now set to be streamlined and made more efficient with the road marking car.
The new road marking vehicle will contribute significantly to reducing road accidents and ensuring smoother traffic flow.
