The Department of Employment and Labour, under the leadership of Deputy Minister Judith Nemadzinga-Tshabalala, is currently hosting the YAZINI Campaign at the Elukwatini Community Hall (July 25)

The YAZINI Campaign aims to improve accessibility to essential government services, ensuring that community members can easily access the support they need without having to travel to distant offices. This localized approach underscores the Department’s commitment to serving communities at a grassroots level.

Residents attending the campaign can benefit from a comprehensive range of services, including:
• Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF): Assistance with applications, claims processing, and employer/employee registrations. This is a crucial service for those who have lost their jobs and require financial support.
• Public Employment Services (PES): Individuals seeking employment can register as work-seekers and receive valuable career counselling. This service helps connect job seekers with available opportunities and provides guidance for their career paths.
• Compensation Fund (CF): Support for the submission of claims and follow-ups related to work-related injuries or diseases. This ensures that employees are adequately compensated for occupational incidents.
• Inspections and Enforcement Services (IES): The public can make enquiries on labour laws, including the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Unemployment Insurance Act (UIA), National Minimum Wage Act (NMWA), and Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA). This service empowers workers with knowledge of their rights and provides avenues for reporting non-compliance.
