DPolice in Chrissiesmeer successfully recovered 14 stolen sheep on Saturday, July 19.\

The sheep, valued at an estimated R35,000, were found tied up in Warburton, approximately 25 kilometers from the farm where they were stolen.

According to Mpumalanga police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Jabu Ndubane, the incident unfolded when a farmer, during his routine morning count at a grazing camp, discovered 14 sheep missing. He promptly alerted the police.

“When the officers arrived at the scene and found the farm fence cut. Their investigation led them to the nearby township of Warburton, where they located the missing livestock.

While the sheep have been returned to their owner, the suspects are still at large. The police are actively pursuing the suspects. .
