The MEC for Education, Cathy Dlamini together with the Executive Mayor of Chief Albert Luthuli Local Municipality, Cllr Mbuso Magubane will observe the signing of the pledge of good conduct Friday, 18 October 2024, at Methula Secondary, Fernie Village

According to the Dlamini the Department of Basic Education introduced the signing of the pledge ceremony to enable the Grade 12 candidates to make individual commitments that they will not participate in any irregular activities during the writing of the National Senior Certificate Examination.

There are 67 231 full-time candidates in the Province who are expected to participate in the signing of the pledge tomorrow.

“As you sign this pledge of good conduct, let it speak to your conscious throughout this examination. Resist any temptation to do anything which is against the rules and regulations of this examination. Do good even if no one is looking at you.”
