Twenty schools, based in Elukwatini under the Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality, will receive funding and school uniform donated by a local businesswoman Happiness Sigudla, owner of Gagu JB and Security.
The donation will be lead by Mpumalanga Community Safety, Security and Liaison MEC Vusi Shongwe and Mpumalanga SAPS Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Semakaleng Manamela.
MEC Shongwe is expected to motivate learners to desist from acts of crime and gangsterism, which is unacceptably rife in the area.
MEC Shongwe will also use the event to condemn the ever rising attacks and killing of women and children.
