The Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality’s Executive Mayor Cllr Daniel Nkosi visited the families affected by windstorm in the Onbekend, Carolina.
The visit comes after several houses were damaged by windstorm in Onbekend December 20.
Preliminary assessments by the disaster management team indicate that more than 12 houses were badly damaged by the storm, with few injuries; no death has been reported at the moment. The disaster management is currently monitoring the situation.
The municipality assisted the residents with Blankets, Tent,
Structural tent, Tarpaulins sponge and Gas stoves, to those who are affected.
