The Municipal Demarcation Board, led by Hester Marais, visited the Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality in Carolina today for an information-sharing session.
The purpose of the meeting was to provide key stakeholders, including councillors and ward committees, with details about the upcoming 2024/2025 municipal ward delimitation process.
The session aimed to empower these stakeholders by increasing their understanding of the ward delimitation process, with the goal of improving participation. The forthcoming delimitation process will support efforts toward effective service delivery.
Councillors were urged to return to their respective wards and engage with community members on ward-related issues. They are expected to report back on these consultations in November as part of the broader engagement process.
