The body of a young woman, estimated to be in her teens, (between 15 and 16), was discovered on Thursday morning, July 17, in Tjakastad. It was found in the middle of a street at about 07:00.

According to the spokesperson for Elukwatini Police Station, Wiseman Khumalo, police were alerted. “Upon arrival, they found the body and the victim was declared dead on the scene by paramedics.

Preliminary investigation indicated that two teens went to a liquor outlet where they befriended a certain male foreigner, who started buying them drinks. Just before closing, the three left the place.

It is alleged that on the way, the man asked them both for sexual favours. When they declined, all hell broke loose,” he explained.

Khumalo said the man demanded all valuables the teens had on them and when they refused, he started stabbing them.

They ran away but lost track of each other. One was eventually found dead and the other admitted to the hospital.

Police are on the lookout for this male foreign national. Anyone who might have seen him with the young women at liquor outlet and knows his whereabouts can contact Elukwatini SAPS on 082 798 0396.
