The Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality (CALM) hosted its annual Wellness and Recognition of Employees event recently, celebrating the dedication and long service of its staff.

Held at Essence Resort in Mpuluzi, the initiative aims to foster connection among the municipality’s four units while honouring employees with service records ranging from 5 to 35 years. It also highlights CALM’s commitment to maintaining a supportive and thriving work environment, conducive to employee longevity and productivity.

Executive Mayor Cllr Mbuso Magubane, expressed gratitude to former Executive Mayor, Cllr Dan Nkosi, and his council for their foundational contributions to the Municipality’s success. Magubane also commended Municipal Manager and administration leader, Ephraim Thabethe, for effectively steering the Municipality forward.

The mayor reassured employees that management is committed to addressing their concerns and ensuring a conducive work environment. He applauded staff members who represented the Municipality during the recent SAMSRA sports activities, encouraging them to continue raising high the municipal flag. Magubane concluded by urging employees to maintain their dedication to serving the community, promising that management will continue to support their efforts and enhance productivity.
