The MEC for Education, Cathy Dlamini will tomorrow, 16 July 16 visit Ntabambovu Primary in Dundonald, Chief Albert Luthuli Local Municipality.
As part of the Mandela Month observation, the MEC Dlamini will lead a team of senior officials, stakeholders, educators, parents, the school community as well as other officials from the department in the cleaning, fixing of broken windows and doors, fixing broken furniture painting, planting of trees and establishing vegetables garden.
MEC Dlamini unveiled the Mandela Month activities on July 11 at MC Zitha Secondary School in the Nkomazi Local Municipality where she urged parents and school communities to display the spirit of Madiba by investing their own time and skills in improving the ambience of their local schools.
The Department is collaborating with Old Mutual, Department of Correctional Services, Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Land and Environmental Affairs, Department of Home Affairs, the Mpumalanga Regional Training Trust and FOREK.
This year’s Mandela month programme will take place under the theme :
“It is all in our hands to combat poverty and inequality”
