The Chief Albert Luthuli News does not belong to the Municipality, but is a 100% independent newspaper published by Kgabu Mahlatji.
It is the only free independent newspaper and provider of online news in the area. The publication targets all communities within the rural and urban areas of the Municipality and also covers the District of the Gert Sibande Municipality. Provincial and National News are included.
We are not funded or receiving any sponsorship from the Municipality or any other entity and are entirely dependent on advertising income which also sees certain provincial government departments advertising with us. We are calling on private sector and municipalities to support us in terms of advertisement in order to provide ethical and independent news in our region.
