According to the provincial police spokesperson, Colonel Donald Mdhluli, the two suspects, Oupa Simon Mohape (33) and Siyabonga Eric Sine (34) were arrested on Monday, April 22.

Mdhuli said members of the SAPS were doing routine patrol duties near Redhill-off ramp when they spotted a white Toyota Hilux, branded with a certain Courier company logo.

The suspects have already appeared in Elukwatini’s Magistrate Court on April 22 and the case was postponed to April 29 for formal bail application.

The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela, said exceptional was work done by the members. “We are indeed encouraged by the vigilance displayed by our members at the border. They really work with diligence in dealing with Cross-Border-Crime,” said the General.
