Elukwatini SAPS are investigating the murder of as yet unknown man, found in the Mkhomazane River in Armberg.

The body was discovered by community members on Tuesday July 22 and alerted the police.

According to the spokesperson for Elukwatini Police, Sergeant Wiseman Nkosi, the body had four gunshot wounds; one each on the cheek and thigh with another two in the stomach.

“His hands were tied behind his back with shoe laces. The motive for the murder is not yet clear. Police are calling on public who might be able shed light on this murder to come forward and assist. Any family with a missing member should visit SAPS to possibly identify the deceased,” he said.

The victim was found wearing a pair of blue denim jeans, a light blue t-shirt and a black jacket.
