Zanele is far more than just a beauty queen; she’s a remarkable blend of intelligence, grace, and bold ambition. Currently pursuing her third qualification as an aspiring auditor, she masterfully juggles her demanding professional life, rigorous academic journey, and crucial civic duties with admirable poise and unwavering passion.
Driven by a profound commitment to unity, empowerment, and community development, Mkhatshwa has emerged as a true beacon of hope, especially for the youth in her community. She is the visionary founder of the Amity Impact Foundation, a community-centered non-profit dedicated to uplifting learners in schools.
This foundation recently garnered national attention for its work on the SABC 1 Avbob Trolley Library Program in Mpumalanga, as it supports youth development and promotes entrepreneurship in under-resourced communities.
“Education and empowerment are powerful tools; my goal is to make them accessible to every young person in our rural areas,” she said.
Her influence also extends into community safety. Zanele serves as the secretary for the Rural Safety Committee within the Mayflower South African Police Service (SAPS), where she works tirelessly to enhance safety and well-being within the local community.
Beyond her philanthropic and civic engagements, Mkhatshwa is also a passionate entrepreneur. She owns Ekasi Academy, a small yet impactful training hub where she provides coaching and classes to help individuals obtain their RE5 certification, a crucial requirement for anyone looking to enter the financial services industry.
