With excitement growing and the countdown to the hugely popular Africa’s Travel Indaba (ATI) 2025 starting, South African Tourism (SAT) has established an industry-led Advisory Committee to ensure a seamless execution of this premier travel trade event from May 12 to 15 in Durban at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Convention Centre.
Comprising of key industry representatives, the panel will meet weekly to address critical aspects of the show, working together to enhance its impact and deliver an even better experience for exhibitors and buyers.
In a statement, SAT highlighted its commitment to partnership and collaboration towards driving decisions to represent and benefit the greater tourism sector. ATI would, with the input of the Committee, remain a world-class business platform providing real value and business opportunities for all participants. The Indaba would focus on key elements such as exhibitor and buyer engagement; logistical efficiencies; programme enhancements and overall event quality.
The Advisory Committee boasts top industry leaders such as David Frost from SATSA, Classic Portfolio’s Suzanne Bayly and Kgomotso Ramothea representing ATTA. Andrew Camp from Sun International, Dorcas Dlamini of Marriott and Martin Botha from Tourvest, make up the rest of the team. With their collective experience and insights, as well as strategic guidance, the panel would be instrumental in shaping another world-class event, ensuring ATI continues to be a leading global trade platform.
“It is a privilege to be part of the ATI Advisory Panel, representing SATSA membership. This is a significant and visionary step towards deeper collaboration, ensuring the voices of key private-sector stakeholders are considered. By channelling industry concerns cohesively and constructively, we can ensure ATI is a world class event. Kudos to SAT’s COO, Darryl Erasmus and his team for pulling a good panel together. Let’s all work to make ATI hum,” David Frost said
Dorcas Dlamini said “Africa’s Travel Indaba is a vital platform that highlights the diverse and natural beauty of our continent.
