The executive mayor of Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality, Mbuso Magubane, visited eMbhejeka Primary School in Tjakastud to donate school uniforms to learners in need.

He was accompanied by the Regional Executive Committee member, Alice Chirwa, Ward 13 and Ward 18 councillors and comrades from these two wards. This initiative forms part of the ANC’s ongoing commitment to improve education and support disadvantaged learners.

Magubane emphasised the ANC’s dedication to empowering young learners. “No child should feel excluded because they do not have a school uniform. Education is a fundamental right and as the ANC, we will continue to support our children and ensure they have the resources needed to succeed.”

He also raised concerns about the school’s declining enrolment and urged parents to prioritize their children’s education. “A school is the heartbeat of a community. We encourage parents to enrol their children at eMbhejeka Primary to ensure they receive the education they deserve. The future of our children begins in classrooms like these.”

Chirwa echoed these sentiments and said that the donation is not just about school uniforms but is about restoring dignity and confidence to needy children. “A proper uniform instils a sense of pride, discipline and belonging, keys to academic success.”

The Langalibalele Branch’s ANC leadership extended its gratitude to the school management, teachers, and community members who continue to work tirelessly in shaping the future of young learners. Special appreciation was also given to all comrades and stakeholders who contributed to making this initiative a success. “This initiative reaffirms the ANC’s commitment to ensuring that no child is left behind in the pursuit of education. The ANC will continue working with communities to uplift and empower the next generation,” said Meshack Mkhabela, branch secretary in ward 18.
