The Executive Mayor of Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality, Cllr Mbuso Magubane, extended a warm welcome to the Christmas babies born today December 25 at Carolina Hospital.
The mayor congratulated the proud mothers and expressed appreciation for their dedication to nurturing the next generation.
Addressing the mothers, Magubane remarked on the joy and hope that the birth of a child brings to families and communities.
“Whenever a baby is born, friends, relatives, and neighbours come together to celebrate and share gifts. Today, we continue this tradition by bringing gifts for the new born, just as gifts were brought to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. These babies symbolize hope and the future of our municipality and our nation,” said Magubane.
The Executive Mayor emphasized the importance of raising children to become responsible citizens who will one day contribute meaningfully to the municipality and the country.
He also took the opportunity to appreciate the dedicated efforts of the healthcare workers at Carolina Hospital, led by CEO Markndo Malaza.
“We thank Mr. Malaza and his team for their hard work and commitment to ensuring the well-being of the mothers and babies. Your efforts are instrumental in safeguarding the health of our community,” the Executive Mayor stated.
Malaza, the CEO of Carolina Hospital, addressed the mothers, advising them to prioritize their babies’ health and well-being.
“Take good care of your children and do not hesitate to bring them to the hospital if they experience any health issues. It is your right to receive assistance at any health facility,” he assured.
A total of ten babies were born in the Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality as of 12:00 AM today. This number includes births at both Carolina and Embuleni hospitals.
