Mpumalanga Premier Mandla Ndlovu is satisfied with the recommendations he has been receiving from his engagements with the municipalities from Gert Sibande and Nkangala districts respectively.
Premier Ndlovu has been interacting with the mayors, speakers, members of the mayoral committees, as well as the municipal managers, in the last two days in an effort to establish what causes the challenges in delivering the much-needed services to communities.
The Premier is concerned that the municipalities seem to be challenged in generating revenue, handling their finances, providing water and removing sewer amongst others.
He has committed to announce his intervention immediately he has met with the municipalities from Ehlanzeni District next week.
“I am delighted that I have met with at least 75 percent of the municipalities in the past two days and have discovered their challenges.
“In the sams process we have gathered some recommendations from them that will help in improving service delivery for our people,” said Premier Ndlovu.
